The Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys will face each other on Sunday night for the first time since the Cowboys traded star linebacker Micah Parsons to the Packers.
Parsons will return to Dallas, and there’s been conversation all week long about what the return will feel like.
Parsons has said it’s going to be “painful” because of the relationships he built with his teammates. Meanwhile, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, while mixing in some compliments, has taken numerous shots at the former Cowboy.
Jerry Jones Calls Out Micah Parsons Again
Earlier in the week, Jones was asked if there would be a tribute video for Parsons, and his response was a bit shocking.
“I don’t think that’s appropriate this way,” Jones said (h/t Dallas Morning News). “Emmitt [Smith] was a different story. That’s not to diminish Micah. I think Micah has enough welcome out there and we just need to show that we’ve got antidotes for that.”

The Cowboys drafted Parsons with the 12th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft out of Penn State, after a stellar career with the Nittany Lions.
The Penn State product played four years in Dallas, collecting at least 12 sacks every season, earned two All-Pro honors and made the Pro-Bowl every year.
However, it didn’t stop there. Jones recently joined 105.3 The Fan and spoke about playing against Parsons for the first time.

Jones is right, the Cowboys didn’t win a Super Bowl with Parsons. However, Dallas also didn’t win a Super Bowl in the 20 years before it drafted Parsons.
The Cowboys’ defense ranks bottom six in the NFL in points allowed, total yards and passing yards allowed. On the flip side, the Packers’ defense ranks top three in the NFL in points allowed, total yards and rushing yards allowed.

To think Parsons was ever a weakness on the Cowboys’ defense is laughable.
You better believe Parsons will be as motivated as ever for his return to Dallas and that can’t be a welcoming sight for the Cowboys’ offense.
The Packers and Cowboys will play the Sunday Night Football game in the NFL’s week 4.
