The OG FischFright event is back in Fisch, and it brings tons of new quests, rods, and content to the game. Yes, the Beatrix Witch has made her appearance once again, along with the Flying Dutchman and the Nessie, all adding to the Fisch nostalgia. This time, the FischFright event has a new currency on its own island, called Candy. In this guide, learn how to obtain Candy in the Fisch FischFright update and what items you can purchase using it.
How to Obtain Candy in Fisch FischFright Update
Before you move into the detailed methods, make sure you are on Crook’s Hallow island in Fisch. You can go there by interacting with the Flying Dutchman NPC standing on a green ghost ship near Moosewood. Alternatively, you can use the Frightful Mirror from your backpack to transport yourself to Crook’s Hallow directly.
As you step into Crook’s Hallow, notice the bottom right corner of your screen to check the number of Candies you currently have. Every player starts the Fisch FischFright event with 0 Candy, so this is your chance to be at the top. Now, you can follow the methods explained below to earn Candy in Fisch.
1. By Trick or Treating
Having landed on the new island, open your backpack by pressing the ‘G‘ key. Now search for the Candy Bucket item, and hold it in your hand. Now all you need to do is go to the houses spread across the island with number plates outside and knock on their doors.
Do note that you must hold the Candy Bucket in your hand and then press the ‘E‘ key once close to the door. After this, an NPC opens the door and asks you for Trick or Treat. Don’t worry, because whatever the NPC suggests, you’ll get Candies in both cases. Sometimes, you can be lucky enough to get the limited-time fish from the new bestiary.
2. From Completing Various FischFright Quests
The second way is by talking to several NPCs on the Crook’s Hallow island. So, look for unique NPCs other than the ones that say Fisch Fright Fan, and they will give you certain tasks or quests. For instance, you’ll find one such NPC named Vlad to the right of the Witch’s area, who asks you to bring him a Vampire Perch.
All you need to do is walk up to them, press the ‘E‘ key to interact, and they’ll describe their problem along with the items they require. You can either choose to fish for such items from the nearby waters or simply knock on the doors and get them with less effort.
These items can be required in their original state, or sometimes, you might need to appraise their attribute to make them ‘Shiny’. Once you get the correct item, submit it back to the respective NPC. This way, you get lots of Candies at once, and hence, it is the best way to earn this new currency.

3. From Submitting Items to the Witch’s Cauldron
The third way to earn Candy is by submitting the items required by the Witch. As you use the Frightful Mirror and spawn at the Crook’s Hallow, the Beatrix Witch will be located right in front of you. Walk up close and interact with her.
The Witch will tell you about an eeeeeeeevilish Goblin who stole all her Brew ingredients. You must therefore retrieve them and submit those inside the cauldron. These ingredients can be found across all the islands in the main world, such as Mushgrove Island, Forsaken Shores, and more.
At regular intervals, a notification will pop up on top of your screen indicating the arrival of the Goblin. So, make sure you keep a lookout for that, and the moment you spot the location, head straight for that island. Upon finding the Goblin, it will ask you to do a small challenge and in return, give you the witch’s ingredient.
4. Frightful Crate
Finally, you could also catch some Frightful crates around the waters of the Crook’s Hallow island to find a handful of Candies inside. At times, they can also give you new fish from the FischFright bestiary, so it’s a pretty low-effort way to get small amounts of candies alongside fishing.
How to Use Candy in Fisch FischFright Update
