Everything We Know About Phantom Blade Zero

Phantom Blade Zero is one of the most anticipated games releasing in 2026, and it is developed by S-Game. It is going to be a dark fantasy action RPG with martial arts called ‘Kungpunk’. We have already seen multiple gameplay videos on Phantom Blade Zero, and each one shows an incredible combat system with parrying, stealth, weapon-based combos, and perfect dodges.

The game will feature a blend of traditional Wuxia, fantasy, and folklore. Developers have not shied away from gore, which is sure to become a staple identity for the game on release. Many are already calling the game a blend of Sekiro and Ninja Gaiden, but set in Chinese mythology.

Now, Phantom Blade Zero is expected to be hard, similar to the Souls games, but with a different system. On death, players in this game will respawn at the last checkpoint; however, all the enemies previously killed won’t respawn. The punishing factor comes into play as the main lead of Phantom Blade Zeron, named Soul, only has a certain number of days to complete their mission. Dying takes away one day from them, which means you have a certain number of lies before you fail.

What happens after the character fails, or whether the time period can be regained, can only be known when more information is revealed in the game.

So, what’s your opinion on Phantom Blade Zero? Are you willing to give it a try next year? Let us know in the comments.
