After 18 weeks of regular season action and three weeks of playoff games, one thing is for certain in the road to the Super Bowl: this year’s path to the Lombardi Trophy has been a unique one.
Just two of 32 teams are alive after conference championships, with the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots set to meet in Super Bowl 60 after taking down the Los Angeles Rams and Denver Broncos over the weekend.
The Patriots pulled out a snowy 10-7 win over the Broncos, meaning Mike Vrabel and Drake Maye are heading to the big game in their first season together. Meanwhile, the Seahawks took down the Rams in the NFC Championship Game thanks to a strong performance from Sam Darnold.

No. 2 Patriots vs. No. 1 Seahawks
Super Bowl 60 is a rematch of the Super Bowl in February 2015, when the Seahawks’ decision to throw the ball on the goal line haunted them in a 28-24 loss to Tom Brady and the Patriots.
Seattle has proved itself as the NFC’s No. 1 seed, having taken down two formidable NFC West opponents en route to the Super Bowl. With Sam Darnold dealing, and Mike Macdonald’s defense also cruising, the Seahawks are set to likely open as Super Bowl favorites.
New England will have a shot at title No. 7 though, just one year after going 4-13. With Mike Vrabel’s defense again stepping up in the AFC title game, and Maye blossoming into a superstar, the Patriots have returning to the well-oiled machine they were in the Brady days.
