The Klay Thompson and Megan Thee Stallion breakup has dominated sports and pop culture for weeks after the Grammy-winning rapper accused the Mavericks guard of cheating in a social media post.
She later followed up with a formal statement, noting that trust and respect are non-negotiable and that there was “no real path forward,” citing his “mood swings” during the season. Thompson hasn’t said much in return, but Seattle Storm guard Lexie Brown unexpectedly found herself in the fallout.
Though she denied any involvement with the Mavs star, old photos and videos of the two continue to surface. As more photos emerge, fans have had plenty to say about her place as a third person in the alleged cheating scandal.
Old practice photo pulls Lexie Brown back into the conversation
Shortly after Stallion went public, social media speculation began linking Thompson to Brown. An anonymous X account recently posted images from an old 2022 practice video of Thompson, pointing to a woman seated courtside in the background and alleging she was the Storm guard.
The post, which surpassed 991,000 views, also surfaced a 2022 forum post claiming the four-time NBA champion had unfollowed and then re-followed Brown that same year. Fans treated this as circumstantial evidence of a continuous on-and-off connection.

The 31-year-old WNBA star, however, already cleared the air around her relationship, saying, “Me and Klay, we know each other because we do play professional basketball. I wouldn’t have considered him a friend. I do not know Meg Thee Stallion at all.”
She added that she expected either Thompson or Megan to clear her name, stating, “Knowing 100% what was being said was false, surely somebody would step in and say, ‘No, this is a lie.’”
However, the resurfaced photos have poured fuel on an already burning fire.

The fourth claimed, “She didn’t lie. Lexie was there first. Megan wanted to prove she had him… Klay likes she an athlete like him…”
And a fifth viewer remarked, “That’s insane that girl confidently got on Fox & called Megan out.”
As of now, Thompson, 36, has not publicly addressed the rumors regarding Brown. He is heading into the final year of his $50 million contract in 2026-27 with the Dallas Mavericks, a team that has missed the playoffs for the second consecutive season.
The silence has had real-world consequences for Brown. She revealed that she received threats against her life and her family’s safety, forcing her to hire personal security while traveling. It remains to be seen how much further this rumor mill will make Brown’s life difficult.
