Stephen Curry has written his name in the NBA history books mainly for his ability to shoot the three-ball. Now, he’s become the first active NBA player to have his own exhibit at the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass.

On Tuesday, the Hall of Fame announced that the Golden State Warriors’ future Hall of Famer will have his own exhibit opening later this week. “Stephen Curry: Beyond the Arc” will feature exclusive memorabilia, rare footage and firsthand storytelling to outline the four-time NBA champion’s career.

Here’s a quick rundown of what is included in Curry’s limited-time exhibit at the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.

How Stephen Curry made NBA Hall of Fame history

On Friday, Curry will make history as the first active player to have an exhibit at the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. “Stephen Curry: Beyond the Arc” will teach viewers about the history of the sharpshooter’s career through both physical and verbal aspects.

Here is the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame’s official announcement about Curry’s exhibit.

The exhibit will open on July 24 at the Naismith Hall of Fame and feature exclusive memorabilia, rare footage, and first-hand storytelling about Curry’s legendary career as the NBA’s three-point king. The exhibit is only open for a limited time, so interested fans should quickly make their way to the Hall of Fame’s website to plan their future visit.

“Being part of the Basketball Hall of Fame in this way is hard to put into words,” said Stephen Curry, per an official press release. “To have that story told while I’m still playing is something I don’t take lightly. My hope is that fans walk through this experience and feel the joy, the purpose and the gratitude that basketball has given me, and maybe see a little bit of their own journey in it too.”

Is Stephen Curry in the NBA Hall of Fame

At the moment, Curry is not a member of the Naismith Hall of Fame just yet. He did, however, make history as the first active player to have an exhibit in Springfield.

Golden State’s star is a lock to eventually get into the Hall of Fame when he is eligible.

When is Stephen Curry Hall of Fame eligible?

Curry, like every NBA player, will become eligible for the Hall of Fame once he has been out of the association for five seasons. At 38 years old, Curry has still shown he can hang with the plethora of younger players around the league and play at a high level.

Golden State’s star recently signed a one-year, $62.5 million veteran extension to remain in the Bay Area, according to Spotrac. Ahead of the 2027-28 season, he will become an unrestricted free agent.
