AFC Bournemouth have unveiled their inaugural line of merchandise in partnership with club owner, actor, director and producer Michael B. Jordan, which will serve as the club’s pre-season kit for the US tour in California.
The ‘Black Panther’ and ‘Creed’ star has been a minority shareholder in the club since Bill Foley’s takeover in 2022. The Jordan-designed kits are manufactured by Umbro, the club’s kit manufacturer since 2017.
Two special edition kits, designed in the club’s iconic red and black colours, feature a striking interlocking cherry pattern. Each piece in the range will carry an exclusive MBJ x AFCB tag, marking the collaboration with Michael and his Outlier Society Ventures.

The shirts will also feature a modern reinterpretation of the Cherries’ old crest, which will be used as secondary branding across a number of club projects. Talented designer Daniel Norris helped reimagine the old crest from the early 1980s.
Michael said: “Since joining the club I have been excited to have the opportunity to design a kit and I am looking forward to seeing them on the pitch this week. These are exciting times for Cherries fans and I can’t wait to see what this season has in store for us.”
The California tour will include two friendly matches. The Cherries wore the black jersey against Wrexham on Saturday, July 20 at Harder Stadium in Santa Barbara, which ended in a 1-1 draw. Andoni Iraola’s men are set to wear the red jersey in the next match against Arsenal at Dignity Health Sports Park, the home of the LA Galaxy on Wednesday, July 24.
The limited edition Umbro AFC Bournemouth 2024-2025 MBJ Black Pre-Season and MBJ Red Pre-Season football shirts are available from 20th July. The adult kit retails for £85 GBP ($110).
