You need luck and 50 gems per gacha draw to summon the best Anime Royale units. Redeem Anime Royale codes to get gems and revives to create a decent team. The chances of getting the strongest units are tiny (2% for legendary, 0.25% for mythical), but there is a pity system.
Legendary Mercy only lasts for 50 draws, while it will take you longer to reach Mythic level as it is activated on the 400th draw. Since you can’t rely on luck, roll strategically to reach pity and wait for a banner with the meta units you need. For this strategy, learn more about the best units in Anime Royale.

Top Ranked Units in Anime Royale

Not all characters are worth spending gems on, so choosing the best ones is your top priority. Having a team full of OP units is the best case scenario, but you’ll be using legendary and epic units more often (at least at first).
Play to the characters’ strengthsbecause some are great support units but lack a good attack like some DPS characters. Of course, unit evolutions change things a lot, so keep units that can be upgraded even if you’re not happy with their original form. That’s where our Anime Royale tier list helps you.
S-level units
- Gel (final) has a long range which is somewhat negated by his slow attacks. He makes up for this with his powerful attacks, so you’ll likely be taking out a bunch of enemies in one hit.
- Friend is a fantastic DPS unit with great range. Additionally, she can attack both in the air and on the ground, making her one of the most reliable characters in the game.
- Stabbings is as strong as any Anime Royale unit, but his stun ability makes him especially useful, slowing enemies down considerably.
- Ulquioro (Second) is another great choice if you’re looking for a high damage unit with great range.
- Keneki is your ally to demolish protected units. Combined with a high damage potential and fast attacks, Keneki (and his evolutionary version) will quickly become your favorite character.
Level A units
- Freeze is great in a support role, so use him often if you need an affordable unit to help out your main characters.
- Itchy is a surprisingly powerful hill legendary unit that deals high damage. Its burn damage makes it so effective that it can decimate entire waves.
- Jotero is so effective as a support unit (slow, stun, knockback) that I don’t really care about his damage (which is decent!).
- Light of the law is the best money unit in the game, making it essential for game modes like Infinite, where you need to upgrade units quickly and move them around a lot.
- Manara is an excellent hybrid unit that can deal heavy area damage to enemies.
- Microwave deals high damage, making it effective enough to justify its high placement cost.
Level B units
- Alligator is a great support unit with an AoE slowing ability. That said, he will make your life miserable due to his slowness.
- Kokoin is an epic hill unit that you will be very happy with until you get Itchy.
- Nemo is a rare currency unit that you will use until you obtain Lawlight. Of course, you can always combine them if you need a lot of resources, especially in raids.
- Zonitsu has an effective stun but is average at best in everything else.
Level C units
- Netsu is a legendary unit usable with burn damage that you will draw as soon as you find a better unit.
- Noroto is a rare unit that you’ll love at first because it gets the job done. Unfortunately, you’ll realize even faster that its damage output is ridiculous compared to higher level units.
- Tojiro is a synonym for waste. If you look in the dictionary, under the word “useless” you will find its name.
