Luck is not on the Knicks’ side during the 2024 NBA Playoffs, at least as far as injuries are concerned.

The second game of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Pacers dealt several blows to New York. Jalen Brunson left in the first quarter with a right foot injury, although he returned in the second half. Then, OG Anunoby was sidelined with a hamstring strain he suffered in the third quarter.

Anunoby was having arguably his best game in a Knicks uniform before his injury, scoring 28 points on 10-of-19 shooting in 28 minutes. The 26-year-old forward suffered the injury late in the third quarter on a fast-break layup.

The Knicks defeated the Pacers in Game 2 but lost Game 3 in his absence. Here’s the latest on his hamstring injury and his status for the rest of the series, which New York leads 2-1.

What is OG Anunoby’s injury?

Anunoby suffered a hamstring strain late in the third quarter of Game 2 and was ruled out for the remainder of the game with left hamstring soreness, TNT’s Chris Haynes reported.

The Knicks forward went down after a fast-break layup in the third quarter and had trouble getting up. Anunoby eventually limped off the court on his own, but exited the game and did not return.

This is a new injury for Anunoby. He previously missed time with the Knicks earlier this season due to an elbow injury. New York finished the regular season 20-3 with Anunoby in the lineup.

How long will OG Anunoby be available?

Anunoby has been ruled out for Game 4 against the Pacers with a hamstring strain, according to the Knicks’ injury report.

There is no date for his return, SNY’s Ian Begley reported.
