Oshi no Ko Chapter 161 reveals Aqua’s cunning plan to take care of Hikaru once and for all and avenge her mother.
The young man’s quest for revenge is one of the central plot points of Oshi no Ko. Since learning the circumstances of Ai’s murder, he seeks revenge on Hikaru Kamiki, Ruby, and his biological father.
After multiple twists and turns and backstabbing, father and son find themselves on the brink on the night of Kana’s farewell concert. As B-Komachi and Ruby give their biggest performance yet, Chapter 160 reveals Hikaru’s true role in Ai’s death.
The chapter ends with Aqua ready to stab Hikaru to death, putting an end to his countless manipulations. However, in Oshi no Ko chapter 161, he must consider the consequences of this action.
Hoshino’s older sister realizes that if he kills Hikaru, he will go to prison and that it will tarnish Ruby’s reputation forever. She will now be known as the sister of a murderer and possibly lose her career in the entertainment industry.
He then decides to come up with a plan that will eliminate Hikaru from the equation while protecting Ruby. He plans to make it look like Hikaru stabbed him before making them both switch. By doing this, Hikaru will disappear forever with no chance of playing with anyone else.
However, we don’t know if Aqua plans to kill them both as soon as he falls. It makes no sense to kill himself when he’s doing all this for Ruby. Plus, he accuses Hikaru of being the aggressor, so he probably wants to keep them both alive.
It is likely that Aqua has already made arrangements for the fall and is lying to the police that Hikaru attacked her and made them fall off the cliff. This will surely ensure Hikaru is arrested and Aqua’s quest will finally be over.
