Asus will launch its first “next-generation AI PC” this summer, and thanks to the blazing-fast Snapdragon X Elite NPU, the company’s new laptop will take advantage of hardware-accelerated AI features. The Asus Vivobook S 15 should also be a top performer when it comes to tackling non-AI tasks, thanks to the presence of its Qualcomm Oryon CPU.

Of course, as someone who goes to sleep having dead pixel night terrors, I’m obviously much more excited that this 15.6-inch laptop has a 3K (2880 x 1620) Lumina OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Its three-sided “NanoEdge” has an 89% screen-to-body ratio, which means its bezels are absurdly thin. The numbers continue to impress, as the Asus Vivobook S 15 has a response time of just 02ms, covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and can reach 600 nits of peak brightness in HDR. For a screen dummy like me, I’m practically drooling over those specs.

This is also an ultra-slim laptop that should be perfect for working on the go, measuring just 352.6mm x 227mm x 14.7mm, tipping the scales at 1.42kg (3.1lbs). . I would definitely invest in a good laptop case for the Vivobook S 15, though, as the thought of that OLED screen getting damaged almost had me on the verge of tears.

The Asus Vivobook S further strengthens its argument of potentially becoming one of the best laptops with an impressive battery life of 18 hours.

It should also work on the audio front, as Asus has equipped this pup with Harman Kardon speakers that support multi-dimensional Dolby Atmos sound.

Depending on the configuration you choose, this could prove to be a great laptop for professional video editors, as you can upgrade up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM to help tackle the most demanding computing tasks.

Since I have one of the best webcams, internal laptop cameras usually don’t interest me. That said, the “AiSense” IR camera on the Vivobook S 15 has me intrigued. It definitely has features you don’t see on the average laptop webcam, like presence-detection auto-dimming and an adaptive locking system that locks you if you move to another room before instantly unlocking the laptop once you’re there. the camera can see it again.

There’s no doubt that the Asus Vivobook S 15 has some interesting dishes, including a large “ErgoSense” touchpad that supports smart finger gestures, while its keyboard features noise reduction technology and a dedicated Copilot key to let you game. instantly with this Windows 11. AI features of an artificial intelligence powered laptop.

The only small disappointment at the moment? We don’t have a final US release date for the Vivobook S 15 at the time of writing, although we do at least know that Asus’ AI laptop will launch in the UK on June 18.
