The story of Boruto Two Blue Vortex follows Boruto’s return to Konoha after spending three years in hiding. However, the world he left behind and the one he returns to are very different. Naruto and Hinata are declared dead to the world when in truth, they are kept unconscious in Isshiki Otsutsuki’s pocket dimension.
Boruto has been erased from the memory of people who consider him as the killer of the Uzumaki couple and Kawaki as their real son. Even Himawari has also forgotten who her real brother is. Kawaki did all this in his obsessive need to protect Naruto and his loved ones and his paranoia about Boruto’s mind being taken by Momoshiki.
As Boruto returns to Konoha in Boruto Part 2, the stones finally start to move. Fearsome villains are looking for Naruto to access his Bijuu chakra, and Sasuke has already taken care of them. Now our hero must find those he had to leave behind to save the world.

The manga has just started and is in its first story arc: the Boruto Return Arc. The total number of chapters in this arc is still unknown since it is likely only in its first half. However, each chapter of this arc has been very important to the story with significant development and twists.
What happened in Boruto Two Blue Vortex so far?
Chapter 1 of Boruto Two Blue Vortex is titled “Boruto” and it shows Sarada trying to talk to Shikamaru, the Eighth Hokage, about Boruto, hinting that she hasn’t completely forgotten about Boruto. This is also the chapter where Boruto returns to Konoha.
Chapter 2, titled “The Tree,” shows Boruto fighting his former friends as he is attacked after arriving in the village. The next chapter, “Uzuhiko,” is named after Boruto’s new Rasengan technique: Uzuhiko.
Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 4 is titled “Awakening” and introduces the main antagonists of this arc: Jura, Hidari, and Matsuri.
Chapter 5, “Target,” finally introduces us to Sasuke and reveals his fate after the time skip. This is followed by Chapter 6, “Three Years,” where the plot thickens with multiple subplots coming together.
The next chapter is Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 7 and is titled “The Location of the Sun”. The title refers to Boruto and Mitsuki’s relationship as the former best friends come face to face in this chapter.
Chapter 8, “It Doesn’t Matter”, ends with a thrilling cliffhanger where Jura mistakes Himawari for Naruto. Sarada recalls Boruto’s explanation of what happened to Sasuke and wonders who happened. Team 10 and Himawari reunite. The God Trees intercept them and Jura is puzzled to discover Himawari instead of Naruto.
Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 9 is extremely crucial. It is titled “Nine-Tails” and features Kurama returning after his death in the Kawaki arc in Part 1. This chapter is followed by Chapter 10, “Kernal”, which shows Himawari finally triggering her first Bijuu mode after Inojin is impaled by Jura.
Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 11 follows this story and features Himawari vs. Jura fighting. Meanwhile, Chapter 12 continues Boruto vs. Hidari. The chapter ends with Jura shooting Boruto with a blast and retrieving the ampoule, determining that Boruto must be eliminated as a threat while Kawaki is kept to be eaten.
