Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca is focused on offloading more squad players before the end of the January transfer window.
The Italian coach opted for a ruthless approach in the summer as Conor Gallagher, Raheem Sterling and Romelu Lukaku all moved on after not featuring in his plans.
Maresca’s approach has yielded positive results so far, with the Blues launching a bold Premier League title bid, but he wants to keep on trimming his squad.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Cesare Casadei are rumoured to be closing in on loan exits with England international Ben Chilwell also looking to leave the club permanently this month.
However, it is not just ‘forgotten names’ Maresca wants to remove, as he aims to recoup money spent on a summer move for Renato Veiga.

An exit for Portugal international Veiga may come as a surprise for some Chelsea fans after less than six months at Stamford Bridge.
He joined in a £12m ($14.2m) deal from Swiss side Basel, on a contract until 2031, with the option to extend that by another 12 months.
It mirrors Chelsea’s recent policy of offering lengthy contracts to new players but Maresca is unconvinced by the 21-year-old.

Dortmund interested in Veiga – report
Veiga has made just one EPL start this season, and despite his versatility to cover in midfield and at full-back, Maresca is open to a sale.
As per reports from The Guardian, Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund have registered an interested in him, but Chelsea will demand around double the fee they paid for him in 2024.
That could include a £20m ($25m) up front payment, plus performance-related add-ons to take the deal above £25m ($30m).
