Portugal is playing Euro 2024, which will be held in Germany from June 14 to July 14, and Cristiano Ronaldo is still very involved with them.
The Al Nassr striker still wants to compete for Portugal and his recent goalscoring record for Roberto Martínez’s side means he has a place in the team. In fact, he was named captain when the squad was announced before the trip to Germany.
Portugal has several elite players, including Bernardo Silva, Bruno Fernandes and Rafael Leao, while Paris Saint-Germain striker Gonçalo Ramos is Ronaldo’s main competitor for the centre-forward role.

When will Cristiano Ronaldo retire?
Ronaldo currently has no plans to retire, insisting that he is happy playing for both Al Nassr and Portugal and could continue playing until he is 40, although that could change depending on circumstances.
He recently said: “Things have happened in my life, both personally and professionally, that today make me think more about the short term.
“People say that I’m going to continue playing until I’m 40 or 41 years old. I don’t set those goals. It’s a matter of enjoying the moment, which is a good moment. I feel good. My body is fine. Responding to how I’ve treated it over the years.
“I’m happy both in my club and in the Seleção. I’ve scored a lot of goals, I feel in good physical shape. It’s a matter of enjoying the moment.”

Cristiano Ronaldo is the all-time leading male goalscorer in international football with an outrageous record of 130 goals in 208 senior appearances for your country.
Ronaldo broke the old goals record held by the Iranian team. Ali Daei when he scored a double against the Republic of Ireland in September 2021.
Ronaldo’s 208 appearances for Portugal also put him at the top of international football’s all-time appearances list, ahead of Kuwait star Bader Al-Mutawa, who has played 196 times for his country.
