Charlie Cox’s Man Without Fear returns to the MCU in the rebooted Daredevil series, Born Again.
Cox first played Daredevil in the Netflix series of the same name as well as the crossover series The Defenders, before that entire universe was sadly abandoned.
But after years of fan lobbying, Marvel Studios has finally cast Matt Murdock (Cox) in Spider-Man: No Way Home, She-Hulk, and Echo. He now has a big future ahead of him in several upcoming Marvel films and TV series.
Born Again had a rocky production, with a complete overhaul mid-shoot, but things are looking up for our favorite lawyer.
Daredevil: Born Again Release Window
The release window for Daredevil: Born Again is March 2025.
Netflix
As for the 2025 lineup, we’ll have Captain America 4 in February, Thunderbolts in May, and Fantastic Four in July. Daredevil will neatly fill the gap between February and May.
We also got a surprise from the Marvel D23 panel: Born Again was renewed for a second season before it even premiered. It’s a brave move considering the fragile confidence the show has enjoyed so far.
Original writers Chris Ord and Matt Corman left the project in October 2023. The series is now directed by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, who worked on Moon Knight and Loki season 2.
Casting

It was initially thought (and objected) that the original Netflix cast members, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen and Elden Henson as Foggy, would not be invited back. Thankfully, Marvel reversed that decision. They were photographed together on set and also appeared on stage at D23.
This means that Born Again is definitely linked to the Netflix series.

Additional rumors from star Charlie Cox hint at a number of cameosAs fans speculate about everything from Spider-Man to the return of The Defenders, Scooper My time to shine has hinted that Tony Dalton will return as Jack Duquesne, aka The Swordsman. Dalton was last seen in 2021’s Hawkeye.
What will Daredevil: Born Again be about?
There is no synopsis yet.but Daredevil faces multiple antagonists in Born Again.

Feige said, “In Daredevil: Born Again, we channeled the essence of the original series but charted an entirely new path for Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk,” at D23.
Echo’s finale indicates that Daredevil: Born Again will adapt another storyline from the comics: Kingpin’s New York mayoral campaign. This fits with rumors that Fisk will run on an anti-costume vigilante platform targeting characters like Daredevil.
As for the superhero TV series’ broader roster of supervillains, Kingpin will play second fiddle to the other antagonists: Muse and Bullseye. A version of the comic book character White Tiger will also make an appearance.
Thanks to a set photo of Officer Cole North, played by Jeremy Earl, wearing a Punisher symbol on his uniform, we can assume that Bernthal’s subplot will involve corrupt cops taking advantage of his pathos.
Is there a trailer?
The first trailer for Daredevil: Born Again was shown to the D23 audience. However, These images have not yet been made public.
The trailer featured massive returns from familiar faces like Bernthal and Daredevil declaring, “Someone’s got to protect the streets” and “New York is what it’s always been: out for blood.”

Daredevil Season 1
Season 1 of Netflix’s Daredevil lays the foundation for the main character. We meet his close friend Foggy Nelson, his future colleague Karen Page, and his mentor, Stick.
We also meet Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, a ruthless gang leader who is trying to take over Hell’s Kitchen and the city as a whole. Luckily, Daredevil prevails and sends Fisk to prison at the end of the season.
Daredevil Season 2
In season 2 of Daredevil, a crazed vigilante known as the Punisher is determined to take down the mafia, one gangster at a time. While the Punisher’s dedication to justice is similar to Daredevil’s, they clash over the former’s deadly methods.
Season 2 also pits Daredevil against a mysterious organization known as The Hand, which is linked to Matt Murdock’s former flame Elektra Natchios.
Daredevil Season 3
Despite his apparent death in the Netflix crossover series The Defenders, Matt Murdock reappears alive but seriously injured in Daredevil season 3. While recovering, Wilson Fisk negotiates a deal with the FBI to protect his wife, Vanessa.
Eventually, Fisk is released from prison and begins to rehabilitate his public image. He also enlists the services of Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter (aka Bullseye), a troubled NYPD police officer, to take down Daredevil. Fortunately, Matt manages to defeat both men by the end of Season 3.
