Valve’s MOBA shooter Deadlock is in full swing, but the invite-only playtest is limited to certain times in each region. So, while you may be eager to try out your new Haze build after a busy day at work, chances are you’ll only have a few hours to enjoy the game. Well, you can get rid of that problem if you know Deadlock’s matchmaking hours. So, if you’re also looking for the exact Deadlock matchmaking hours, including a way to bypass them, keep reading!

When can you play Deadlock in your area?

Unfortunately, matchmaking is time-limited during the Deadlock playtest. This means that there are set times for each region during which you will be able to queue for a game. Once the time is up, matchmaking will be disabled. Matchmaking times are different on weekdays and weekendsso keep that in mind.

Your local times are listed in the game’s main menu (reference image below). When you are eligible to play, the status bar will display text with a timer that indicates when matchmaking ends in your local time.

Since matchmaking is locked to local times, it can be difficult to check other regions’ times through the game. There is a set time for the queue wherever you are and it will automatically be in local time. Here is a list of Deadlock matchmaking times for all regions in Eastern Time:

How to Change Deadlock Matchmaking Timer

As of now, Deadlock’s matchmaking timer is region-locked. The game also doesn’t have a dedicated button to change regions to play on a different server timer. However, you can change the Deadlock server region to play beyond your local server’s timer.

This will allow you to match with players from the selected region. Keep in mind that your ping will be bad when playing on different servers. To change regions, you must first open your console by pressing F7 on the keyboard. Now, type one of the following commands to switch your server to this region:

  • Automatic:citadel_region_override -1
  • North America:citadel_region_override 0
  • Europe:citadel_region_override 1
  • Asia:citadel_region_override 2
  • South America:citadel_region_override 3
  • Oceania:citadel_region_override 5

And here are all the Deadlock matchmaking times in each region. Now that you know when you can play Deadlock in your region and how to change it, will you be trying out a different server as well? Let us know in the comments below.
