Destiny 2 has seen a average number of players per day of 34,118 over the past 30 days, which is a significant drop from 62,149 in July and 123,023 in June, as reported by Steam Cards.
Destiny 2 The maximum number of players for June 2024 was 314,379, a huge jump from May, when the figure was just 116,100. However, both of these numbers dwarf the current player count, with Guardians apparently spending their time playing other games.
Bungie’s looter shooter hit its all-time high in February 2023, where it managed to attract a staggering 316,651 concurrent players. That high is likely to remain the same for some time, as recent mass layoffs at the developer continue to cloud the game’s future.
Keep in mind that these numbers only reflect the number of players for the PC version of Destiny 2. With the looter shooter having debuted as a console exclusive in 2014, it has a substantial console player base that is not represented by Steam Charts.
