DOOM: The Dark Ages’ Hellbreaker chapter marks the halfway-point of the game, and is our second time stepping foot inside the huge mech that is the Atlan. As a result, we’ll be punching our way through hell and its titans during this chapter, and fortunately for completionists, there’s only one secret to find.

DOOM: The Dark Ages Hellbreaker secrets
DOOM: The Dark Ages’ Hellbreaker chapter – Chapter 11 of the game – is home to the following secret area and collectibles:
- 1 Secret
- 1 Toy (Collectible)
- 1 Demonic Essence Upgrade (Armor)
Fortunately for you, the secret location for this chapter is also where the Collectible Toy is found, so you’ll kill two birds with one stone when seeking this out.
Secret #1 and Collectible #1
The Hellbreaker chapter in DOOM: The Dark Ages starts with you inside of the Atlan, but after passing the first point of no return in this level, you’ll find yourself outside of the mech and back on your feet again. Be careful not to fall off the mech here, but you can climb back onto if if need be.
Before you advance ahead and jump off the Atlan, U-turn. Behind you, you’ll see a glowing secret orb (shown above); grab it and you’ll have collected the secret location for this area as well as the Collectible Toy Atlan!
Demonic Essence Upgrade (Armor)
Aside from this chapter’s secret, there’s one more thing you won’t want to miss – and can’t miss, really – and that’s the Demonic Essence Armor Upgrade.
If you advance to the very end of the chapter, you’ll wind up fighting an Agaddon Hunter. Defeat them to receive the Demonic Essence Upgrade for this chapter.
