Dragon Ball Daima now has an incredible connection to Jujutsu Kaisen after casting one of the anime’s main actors.
After a very long wait, Goku and his friends return to our screens, but with a novelty. Instead of their enhanced glory, we will see the group in miniature versions in Dragon Ball Daima. In addition to the old familiar faces, there will also be new faces.
One of them is Degesu, a main character from the Demon Realm who will play the main antagonist of the upcoming anime. He will also be voiced by Junya Enoki, who also voices the protagonist Yuji Itadori in Jujutsu Kaisen.
“I found out I got the part shortly after I auditioned, so it was a really nice surprise for me and I thought, ‘I really got the part!’” the voice actor said. said on being chosen to play Degesu in Dragon Ball Daima. “It was a very nice surprise for me.”
He continued, “Toriyama-sensei wrote the story himself, so today’s Dragon Ball is being passed down to a new Dragon Ball for the Reiwa period, and it feels like the level of Dragon Ball is 100%. I think everyone from kids to adults will enjoy this movie, so I hope you all watch it.”
Thanks to Enoki’s presence in MAPPA’s popular anime series, we know that we’ll have the pleasure of seeing him lend his voice to the series’ main villain. The voice actor has already shown his impressive range – from cheerfully innocent to coldly furious to sullen and depressed – as Yuji.
But that’s not Enoki’s only achievement. The famous seiyuu (Japanese voice actor) has also lent his voice to characters in important anime series such as the young Reiner from Attack on Titan, Fugo from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 5: Golden Wind and Nasa from Tonikaku Kawaii.
He is expected to once again deliver a great performance as Degesu in Dragon Ball Daima. In addition to the villain, we will meet two new characters in the series, including Dr. Arinsu and Gomah. They will be voiced by Yoko Hikasa (voice of Rias Gremory) and Showtaro Morikubo (Shikamaru Nara), respectively.
