While some shields are available right away, for the high-level ones, players need the Raiders Augment. Moreover, shields have durability that is repairable from the medical crafting bench. They can be purchased from a trader or crafted in different crafting benches as well. That said, below is the list of all available shields in Arc Raiders.
How Do Shields Work in Arc Raiders
In the game, the blue bar above the Raider’s health bar denotes shield points. Every box in the shield bar means 10 shield points in the game. Unlike many games, shields are not bonus health. This means when you hit an enemy with weapons in Arc Raiders, the shields take a portion of the damage.
Shield damage depends on the weapon used or the body part you shoot. This makes it knock an enemy without completely breaking the shield. Moreover, despite the shields bulking up your weight, with the right Arc Raiders skills, you can get lighter. However, even after all points in the “Used to the weight” skill, it will not remove shield weight completely.
How to Use Shields in Arc Raiders
After crafting the shields or purchasing them from Lance, you can use the shield in your loadout. To do so, drag the shield from the bag to the shield slot. However, to equip medium or heavy shields in Arc Raiders, the raider needs higher-level Raider Augments. You can only switch the shields before going into a raid. But what about mid-game?
