Jujutsu Kaisen and Naruto fans are losing their minds over a “crazy” crossover fan video.
Two of the biggest names in the shonen genre, Jujutsu Kaisen and Naruto, both have massive fan bases. Collectively, they have a huge global following, and while those fans may disagree with each other at times, they now have a reason to come together.
A popular YouTuber’The real world is in danger” uploaded a fan video three weeks ago combining the two anime. The sequence takes place in the Jujutsu Kaisen universe, during the Shibuya Incident Arc, and begins with Sukuna taking control of Yuji’s body.
But while the real story shows a dark time for the heroes, with villains killing hundreds of people and causing the deaths of several main characters, the crossover video has something more encouraging to offer. Suddenly, Sasuke appears, challenging Sukuna with his trademark deadpan and arrogant tone. This leads to a fiery (literally!) clash between the two.
While Sasuke is busy fighting Sukuna with his Susanoo, Sakura and Kakashi arrive just in time to save Nanami from Mahito. As expected, the curse fails to track Kakashi’s Sharingan and Chidori.
Elsewhere, Obito has stolen the Prison Realm from Kenjaku while Itachi fights Uraume. The fight does not last long, however, as Uraume is soon defeated by Tsukuyomi. Naruto is then seen fighting Sukuna, assisted by Yuji.
The video is full of similar moments. The transitions between scenes are brilliant and the editing is impeccable, earning it 446,000 views on YouTube and fans are raving about its quality.
“I’m more invested in this NARUTO × JUJUTSU KAISEN crossover than any anime currently airing,” tweeted a fan, before adding: “I’m not patiently waiting for the sequel. This sh*t is crazy.”
“Oh no. This is harsh. Sasuke using Genjutsu to tell Sukuna to sit down and shut up is crazy,” wrote another.
“NOT THAT SASUKE TOLD SUKUNA TO “STAY IN HIS LANE”. That was THE COLDEST RESPONSE in the entire video! And then the way Sasuke appeared in Sukuna’s space, all blacked out like a silhouette, was really bad,” one YouTube user commented.
“This is a true masterpiece. It took an entire studio to make this work. Congratulations,” someone else added.
