On Tuesday, Haaland posted a photo on social media, showing him training and striking the ball with the caption: “Monday work.” This gave fans hope that their talisman is ready to return.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Tuesday, City boss Pep Guardiola provided an update on Haaland’s condition. Despite the positive signs, Guardiola did not sound entirely convinced about throwing him straight back into action.
“Tonight, we will know after training. I hope [he will be fit] but I don’t know yet,” he said.
He also added: “Apparently he’s not injured because all the scans dictate that he’s fine, but he didn’t feel fine. We have to respect that.”
City are fourth in the Premier League table, fighting to secure a Champions League spot for next season. With just five points separating them from 10th-placed Fulham, every match is important.
Haaland’s presence could make a big difference, especially as he has already scored 19 Premier League goals this season.
City fans will be hoping that their star striker is ready to return against Spurs. If not, Guardiola may have to continue relying on Omar Marmoush, City’s recent signing, to lead the attack.
