First Look at Drum Island in One Piece Season 2

Netflix’s One Piece season 2 is currently in production, and fans just got their first live-action look at Drum Island, one of the most important locations in history. Netflix’s live-action One Piece is based on Eiichiro Oda’s popular manga, which follows the adventures of a young pirate, Monkey D. Luffy. He wants to become the Pirate King and obtain the legendary titular treasure. One Piece season 2 will continue his journey as he enters the Grand Line in search of the legendary treasure. Oda is once again overseeing production as executive director. The first look at Drum Island was revealed as part of Netflix’s Geeked Week event. It’s where the Straw Hats first meet Chopper. He’s a reindeer with the power of the Human-Human Fruit and the crew’s medic. However, the community is divided on what the island will look like. While some think it’s amazing, others aren’t happy with the CGI. “This looks awesome. I’m excited,” wrote a fan“Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden and Drum are all going to be tough,” another published. Another One fan complained, “If this was an anime storyline, sure, but this is live-action, the overreliance on crappy CGI is huge.” In August, Oda shared a major update on Season 2, revealing that it will cover Loguetown, Reverse Mountain (Twin Cape), Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island. The fact that it won’t include the Alabasta arc means that it will be adapting fewer chapters than expected. However, the bright side is that the pace won’t be too fast. Alabasta is the second saga in the story. The first season covers all of the East Blue arcs except Loguetown.
