One Piece fans have been eagerly waiting to see their beloved Doctor Tony Tony Chopper in live-action season 2, and the wait is finally over.
Chopper is a blue-nosed reindeer who possesses the powers of the Human Fruit. As a Zoan user, he can transform into various shapes and sizes. However, he usually remains in his diminutive form for convenience.
The adorable pirate serves as a doctor for Luffy’s crew and will be introduced in the Drum Island arc. But fans are wondering what he will look like in a real-life scenario – after all, he’s a difficult character to recreate in CGI.
Netflix has now shared a new video on YouTube featuring a sneak peek into the production of season 2, with Iñaki Godoy introducing Chopper, a new character for live-action fans.
There were many reactions to the reveal, with one fan in writing“I know he’ll look more like his current design, but it would be nice if his face looked more like the first Chopper.”
Another common“It looks like they want a puppet, maybe? But it also looks like CGI at the same time. Maybe similar to Detective Pikachu but cheaper? I can dig that.”
“The care they put into this makes me really happy, One Piece has no flaws,” added a third.
However, since this is just a preview and we don’t see Chopper’s face, some fans are also skeptical.
As said “They have to show us what he looks like months before the show airs so we can react properly if it’s bad and they can correct it if it’s like a Sonic situation. I still don’t feel better until I see his cute face. Like he’s my son, don’t touch my son’s face.”
