Kylian Mbappé and France begin their summer journey at Euro 2024 with a pair of friendlies against Luxembourg and Canada, the first of which will take place on Wednesday in Metz.
After winning the 2018 World Cup and reaching the final of the 2022 FIFA competition, France are considered among the favorites to take home the title this summer.
However, since winning a title in 2000, France’s recent history at the Euros has been largely disappointing. They reached the final in 2016 at home, but otherwise have not reached the semi-finals even once; They last bounced in the round of 16 four years ago at the hands of Switzerland.
