Martin confirmed the news in a blog entry shared on Tuesday, in which she announced that Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Eboni Booth is currently working on a new pilot script for the series. ten thousand ships.

The project was previously in development under the direction of writer Bryan Helgeland, who took his own approach to the game of Thrones legend.

Although the project was ultimately scrapped, Helgeland told Inverse that Martin “approved” his script. Later, Amanda Segel was also hired to write a script for the series, but now it seems like the show has found new life in Booth.
