Resident Evil Requiem is the ninth addition to the mainline Resident Evil games, and it brings a unique POV camera change mechanic. Requiem allows players to swap the player’s POV from first person to third person seamlessly from the settings. Although this is a great addition to the game to maximize its action and horror elements, there are some basic things that are missing from the game. One such thing is a POV slider, which is very important for any game with a first-person camera view. So, can you change FOV in Resident Evil Requiem? Let’s find out here!

Is There an FOV Slider in Resident Evil 9?

No, Resident Evil 9 doesn’t have an FOV slider in the game. This makes it impossible to change FOV in Resident Evil Requiem from in-game settings. The FOV slider or setting is missing for both PC and console players. This might impact your experience of firing Resident Evil Requiem weapons.

So, what can you do? PC players have the advantage of using mods, so they just have to wait for an FOV slider mod to be able to change the field of view in Resident Evil Requiem. However, console players won’t be able to do it unless Capcom decides to officially add it to the game.

Note: Once a mod for Resident Evil 9 FOV is published, we will make sure to reference it here.

How to Switch Camera View in Resident Evil Requiem

Now, you may not be able to change the FOV in Resident Evil Requiem, but you can still change the camera view for both Grace and Leon. I suggest you change the view to third-person if you easily feel nauseated in first-person games. To do it, here is what you need to do:

  • Open Settings and head to the Camera tab.
  • Here you will find the Perspective and Camera section.
  • Change the perspectives to Third-person for both Leon and Grace.

Other than that, you can also decrease the Camera Wobble slider to decrease your screen from shaking too much in the first-person view.

So, there you have it. Resident Evil Requiem doesn’t have an FOV slider, which will be upsetting for many players. Hopefully, Capcom decides to add it later down the line. What’s your opinion on it? Let us know in the comments.
