A love letter to Mexico’s Independence Day, Sean O’Malley will defend the UFC bantamweight title against Merab Dvalishvili. The co-main event will be a trilogy between Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko for the UFC flyweight title.

Irene Aldana faces Norma Dumont in a bantamweight title fight. Mexico’s Aldana lost to Amanda Nunes for the UFC bantamweight title in June 2023, in Nunes’ retirement fight. The champion who holds the second-most punches landed (1,105) in UFC women’s bantamweight history is ranked fourth in the bantamweight division after defeating Karol Rosa in a rebound fight.
Brazilian Dumont is on a four-fight winning streak. Ranked 10th at bantamweight, she beat former world champion Germaine de Randamie last April after a fight at flyweight.
UFC 306 Prelims Preview
The UFC 306 prelims will also see the return of Raul Rosas Jr. Rosas showed off his skills at Dana White’s Contender Series, and White had to sign him afterward. The 19-year-old is on a two-fight winning streak and has six submission victories.
He will face Aoriqileng, who has won eight fights by knockout. The Chinese fighter is coming off a no-contest win over Daniel Marcos in February and is 1-1 (1 NC) in his last three fights.
Meanwhile, Ignacio Bahamondes takes on Manuel Torres. Bahamondes is a former Lux Fight League lightweight champion who made his mark at Dana White’s Contender Series. The former amateur kickboxer has a 5-2 record in the octagon.
Torres is 4-0 in the Octagon after a dominant outing at DWCS. He has seven wins by knockout and seven by submission.
