The NFL Scouting Combine isn’t the best thing for every NFL fan. It’s a slower-paced event, other than the 40-yard dashes.

But it’s still a great event to get an idea of how athletic these top prospects are. Most NFL teams send scouts, coaches and general managers to see how things go. And Aaron Glenn was in attendance for the Jets.

However, a video went viral that made it appear as if Glenn was sleeping at the NFL Combine. According to Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic, multiple team sources from the Jets are refuting the video, claiming Glenn wasn’t asleep, instead looking at a tablet.

Jets sources refute viral Aaron Glenn NFL Combine sleeping video

“About that viral video where Glenn appeared to be sleeping during combine drills,” Rosenblatt writes, “team sources insist that Glenn was looking down at a tablet, not resting his eyes.”

These Jets sources are trying to turn the story from Glenn being asleep, or shutting his eyes, at the NFL Combine, into the Jets head coach looking at a tablet in front of him.

In the viral video, shared by Awful Announcing on X, Glenn can be seen with his eyes seemingly closed, and then as David Bailey comes up to run the 40-yard dash, he perks up and is alert.

The video went viral, with fans making fun of the Jets’ head coach for sleeping on the job at the NFL Scouting Combine.

But the Jets are pushing the idea that Glenn wasn’t getting some rest, and instead was looking down at a tablet.

It’s impossible to know for sure, as Glenn and the Jets would never admit he was asleep, and it’s hard for fans to believe otherwise based on the video.

Glenn’s first year with the Jets hasn’t gone well, and with rumors he’s on the hot seat after one season, this incident at the NFL Scouting Combine isn’t a good look for him.

But if the Jets team sources are right, then it’s a non-issue and just a bad time for the NFL Network cameras to pan to Glenn while he wasn’t focused on the 40-yard dashes.
