The winds of change seem to be blowing at Goodison Park as Jose Mourinho emerges as the frontrunner to replace Sean Dyche as Everton manager.
The Athletic on Thursday reported that Sean Dyche had lost his job following a run of poor form that once again threatens the Toffees’ Premier League status.

Ahead of Everton’s FA Cup clash with Peterborough, Dyche himself acknowledged that the club might already be planning for his potential exit, and the club made the announcement just a few hours before the game was due to kick off.

Bookmakers have placed Mourinho as the odds-on favorite to take charge. A move to Everton would be a return to familiar territory for the Portuguese manager, marking his fifth spell in the Premier League.
Three times a Premier League champion while Chelsea boss, Mourinho also had spells with Manchester United and Tottenham. The former included Europa League and Carabao Cup trophies, but both jobs ended in acrimonious departures.
Known for his charismatic personality and winning mentality, Mourinho’s potential arrival is generating excitement among Everton supporters. The ex-Real Madrid and Inter Milan coach has openly stated his desire to return to English football, describing London as his “home”.
Other names in the running include former Everton boss David Moyes and Brentford’s Thomas Frank, but it is Mourinho who dominates the headlines.
