The Los Angeles Lakers just picked up their 10th win of the season last night against the Milwaukee Bucks in dominant fashion, winning 119-95. They now join the Pistons, Nuggets, and Thunder as the only teams with 10+ wins.
Through this season, Los Angeles has struggled with injuries, specifically to their star players. Luka Dončić has missed some games, Austin Reaves has missed some games, but most notably, LeBron James has missed the entire season.
To get off to the start that Los Angeles has had without James has been no small task. They’ve relied on their stars when healthy, as well as role pieces like Deandre Ayton, Rui Hachimura, and Marcus Smart.
Luckily for the Purple and Gold, they might not have to wait much longer for the NBA’s All-Time points leader.

The Lakers are about to add LeBron James to this team
Shams Charania of ESPN announced Sunday morning that LeBron James has been reassigned back to the Lakers from their G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers, and that he will be a full participant in the Lakers’ practice on Monday.
LeBron James has been reassigned back to the Lakers from NBA G League South Bay and will be a full participant at Lakers practice on Monday, sources tell ESPN. James completed multiple days of practices and 5-on-5 sessions this week in the G League and his debut is nearing.

He goes on to mention that James completed multiple days of practice with South Bay. He played 5-on-5 and reportedly felt no residual effects of his injury in the aftermath.
LeBron James coming back into this lineup should strike fear around the league.
The Lakers have boasted some of the best offensive performances around the league with the play so far from Luka Dončić and Austin Reaves. Defensively, they’ve been better than expected with a Marcus Smart resurgence and career revival from Deandre Ayton.
While we may see a dip in the otherworldly numbers Dončić and Reaves have been putting up, it’s hard to believe that wins being added won’t be a side correlation.
The Lakers are set to play their next game on Tuesday at home against the Utah Jazz. That could just end up being LeBron James’ debut.
