In March, the Los Angeles Lakers were arguably one of the league’s best teams. They had Luka Doncic playing out of his mind with constant 40-point games to lead the Lakers to a huge nine-game winning streak. That propelled them into the third seed in a competitive Western Conference.

Unfortunately, it seems the Lakers are suddenly in turmoil, not only because of Austin Reaves’ injury but also because of Luka’s multi-week injury. This is a big blow to the Lakers, but it seems the organization and Doncic’s personal team are ready to find a quick solution for him to be in the Playoffs.

Reports reveal the Lakers and Doncic are looking to return as soon as possible

Doncic has been phenomenal this season as an MVP candidate for the Lakers. Most people saw race with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as the runaway favorite. However, Doncic made it a debate with his phenomenal performances throughout the season that got more spotlight in March.

Now, the Lakers have been successful because of Doncic’s ability to carry his team to victory. Unfortunately, now they have to deal with the injuries to two of their star players.

In a recent report by ESPN’s Shams Charania, it was revealed that the Lakers and Doncic’s medical team are ready to find specialized medical treatment in Europe for his Grade 2 left hamstring strain.

This is huge news for the Lakers because they want to get him back as soon as possible. Doncic’s agent, Bill Duffy of WME Basketball, was the one who broke the news to Sharania and fellow ESPN media member Dave McMenamin.

If the Lakers can get Doncic back as soon as possible, they can stand a chance of making it far in the Playoffs. It looks bleak at the moment because LeBron James is the lone star on the active roster. The 41-year-old admitted both injuries been a significant blow, but they have no choice but to keep moving forward.

Since he is 41, the Lakers can’t fully rely on him to turn back the clock and carry the team anymore. If Doncic does come back healthy, the Lakers could maintain their positive trajectory.
