The Western Conference Finals begin Wednesday night at 7:30 pm CT and the city of Minneapolis is buzzing.

The Minnesota Timberwolves found a way to come back from a 20-point deficit to defeat the Denver Nuggets in Game 7 by a score of 98-90 and reach the Western Conference Finals. After the game, Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards had a legendary interview with TNT’s Charles Barkley in which he dropped the legendary line.

“Bring your ass”

Barkley had told Edwards that he had not been to Minnesota in more than 20 years and had asked him for restaurant recommendations. That phrase from Edwards has caused a revolution in Minneapolis with all kinds of references to the superstar’s candor.

Anthony Edwards’ “Bring Ya Ass” Comment Is Taking Over Minnesota

When you look at the entire state of Minnesota, they are not only embracing the team, but also their biggest superstar in Edwards. There are examples of his line across the state, including in Gov. Tim Walz’s proclamation.

It doesn’t stop there. Local media company SKOR North, which hosts the Timberwolves’ popular Flagrant Howls podcast, put up a billboard in Minneapolis.

There are also fans who get tattoos of the line.

If you’ve never been to Minnesota during the summer months, this series is a great time to cheer you up.
