Flasks, or Flask of Crimson Tears to be specific, are the primary healing item in Elden Ring Nightreign. A chug of this liquid immediately restores a significant portion of your health, just as it did in 2022’s Elden Ring. However, the method to increase the flask’s charges differs in Nightreign, as you can no longer collect Golden Tears and upgrade them at a Site of Grace. Needless to say, you’ll need as many charges of this essential item as possible to survive the many dangers of Limveld. With this in mind, we’ve put together a guide on how to get more flasks in Elden Ring Nightreign.

How to Increase Flask Charges in Elden Ring Nightreign

By default, Elden Ring Nightreign players get three sacred flasks that can be used to restore their HP. To increase your flask charges in Nightreign, you’ll need to head to Marika’s Churches. These locations can be found as soon as you land in Limveld on night one of your expedition.

To locate them, open up your map and look for a point of interest denoted by a golden icon as seen in the image above. Head to this location, walk inside the church, and interact with the altar near the Marika statue to upgrade your flask.

While these Church locations are randomized at the start of each run, their positions remain fixed on night two. However, you cannot interact with the same Church twice to upgrade your flask. The maximum number of Churches we’ve seen in a single game is four. It’s also worth noting that you’ll automatically receive an additional flask charge after defeating the final boss on night two.

We strongly recommend visiting these churches as quickly as possible and accumulating the maximum flask charges. Doing so will help create a strong foundation for your run, as these healing items will be helpful across every combat encounter. Collecting these upgrades is also a breeze, since you’ll find no enemies outside the churches.

And that wraps up our guide on how to get more flasks in Elden Ring Nightreign. Do you think additional flask charges should’ve been permanent upgrades in the roguelike? Let us know in the comments below!
