With fierce monsters, charming forests and cute farms, Mirthwood is set to tick many boxes for fans of cozy games.

This title promises to combine life simulation and RPG mechanics, offering an enchanting mix of foraging, farming, and combat. Created by Bad Ridge Games and published by V Publishing, Mirthwood is a title to watch.

Here’s everything we know about the game ahead of its official release, including when it’s coming out and what players can expect when they play it for the first time.

Mirthwood Release Date

Mirthwood will be released on September 11, 2024.

The developers promise that more features, like co-op play, will be added to the game in 2025. We’ll update this hub when more information becomes available.

Mirthwood is a PC-only release that will be available for fans to download on Steam. There is already a Steam Page for the game where you can add the title to your wishlist.

It’s not yet known whether Mirthwood will be available on other platforms or if it will remain exclusive to PC. We’ll update this hub if further details become available.

Official Game Trailer

Premiering July 26, 2024 on V Publishing’s YouTube channel, a detailed gameplay trailer allowed potential fans to catch a glimpse of Mirthwood in action.

The trailer showcased the game’s mix of cute and quirky locations, as well as the trading, farming, and social mechanics present in the game. It described the “simulated world” of Mirthwood and highlighted how open and refreshing the game felt.

The official trailer describes Mirthwood as “an enchanting open-world life simulation RPG,” which accurately sums up what the game offers.

Players can explore six unique regions as you venture through the game, completing quests, meeting adorable NPCs, and battling monsters. A leveling and equipment system is in place to provide a real sense of progression.

Farming and property mechanics also allow players to grow crops, craft their own products, and trade several cities.

Right now, Mirthwood looks like the perfect mix between an indie RPG and a casual simulation game. It’s worth checking out if you’re a fan of Stardew Valley, The Sims, or Fable, and even fans of The Elder Scrolls might find something to get excited about.
