A new group of influential women are bringing drama to Hulu, and this time it’s not the Kardashians.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Coming to Hulu this fall, it stars a group of popular Mormon mom influencers who were allegedly part of a sex scandal that made international headlines.
The new unscripted series will follow influencer Taylor Frankie Paul, who took to social media in 2022 to reveal that she and her husband, Tate Paul, were porcing after they crossed boundaries while “soft swinging” with their group of married friends. Taylor revealed that she reportedly went “all the way” with one of the husbands in the group of friends without their partners’ consent, which went against the boundaries they set as “soft” swingers.

He later introduced his new partner, Dakota Mortensen, to Tik Tok as the person he “cheated on her with.”
Paul has not shared a statement about the Hulu series, but she and her Secret lives The co-stars have been sharing promotional videos teasing the release date. In one such video, Paul can be seen crying with a text message that reads, “Can you finally tell us how it happened and how it affected the people around you?”
The series also stars popular TikTok influencers DemiEngemann, Jennifer Affleck, JessiNgatikaura, Mayci Neeley, Whitney Leavitt, Layla Wessel and MikaylaMathews.
According to the official program summary, Secret Lives of Mormon Wives The story follows “the scandalous world of a group of influential Mormon moms implodes when they are caught in the middle of a sex scandal that makes international headlines. Now, their sisterhood is shaken to its foundations. Faith, friendship, and reputation are at stake. Can #MomTok survive and continue to defy the rules, or will this group fall from grace?”
It’s unclear how much drama the Hulu series will have considering Season 1 will only have six episodes.
Aside from her sex scandal, Paul also made headlines when she was arrested in 2023 for Alleged domestic violenceafter which video evidence was turned over to the Herriman Police Department, suggesting that “Ms. Paul’s minor son was injured as a result of an action by Ms. Paul.”
This is not the first Mormon reality show to cause a sensation. Sister Wives has hit a major roadblock since three of Kody Brown’s four wives porced him between 2021 and 2023. It remains to be seen whether the TLC series will return with new episodes about the fractured family.
Hulu has also made several series exploring Mormon culture, including the 2022 reality series I’m not a Mormon anymoreabout two Mormon mothers who fall in love and leave their church to build a life together.
Until then, Secret Lives of Mormon Wives It promises to bring more drama, more kids and, possibly, more sex to reality television this fall.
Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 1 premieres on Hulu on September 6 with all six episodes.
