Former NBA All-Star guard Jeff Teague has made a name for himself outside of basketball.
Although he was a solid NBA guard in his playing days, he’s remained in the spotlight in retirement due to his humorous anecdotes and occasionally controversial takes.
His latest take on the NBA lottery is no exception. In one of the more recent episodes of his Club520 podcast, Teague said that the lottery process is rigged, adding to his reputation for bold and debatable opinions.
Not only did he provide the take, but he showed evidence.
“No disrespect to the league, I feel like it’s no way you trade Luka, AD get hurt sh*t hit the fan. They like get the team out of Dallas then all of a sudden we going to give y’all Cooper everybody calm the fu*k down, come on man. New Orleans Chris Paul leave they want to move the team, they fu*ked up they get Anthony Davis. Come on man. Derrick Rose go to Chicago, come on.”

Teague called his career quits at the conclusion of the 2020-21 season.
Is the NBA Draft Lottery Rigged?
There have been multiple occasions where many suspect something fishy from the NBA. Last season is a prime example of that when the Dallas Mavericks had only a 1.8 percent chance to land the No. 1 overall pick. Yet, they landed it and selected potential Rookie of the Year, Cooper Flagg.
The Mavericks were a long shot to land it. On top of that, they had just traded away their franchise player, Luka Doncic, to the Los Angeles Lakers a few months prior.
That is one of the many examples one could point to. Nonetheless, there is no concrete evidence that the lottery is rigged.
For decades, the lottery has been heavily scrutinized because of how high the stakes are and how some outcomes appear convenient or surprising.
