The Brooklyn Nets are now the favorites to acquire Jimmy Butler if he decides to test free agency, according to BovadaThis comes a few weeks ago, when the Nets emerged as a top destination for Butler.
Over his career, Butler has averaged 18 points, five rebounds, four assists and one and a half steals per game. Butler is also an excellent defender, being the steals champion in 2020-21, and a five-time All-Defense second-teamer.
Other teams on Bovada’s list that could potentially land Butler include the Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs. The Miami Heat are also a possibility if they offer him an extension. Other outsiders that could potentially land him include the Memphis Grizzlies, Cleveland Cavaliers and Orlando Magic.
Either way, whoever lands Butler will have someone who can lead the team with veteran and playoff experience, and who can provide both offense and defense.
