Honkai Star Rail’s 2.5 Trailblazing Continuance mission revealed a major mystery regarding Tingyun, one of the most loved characters in the verse. Ever since then, we have seen constant leaks about a new 5-star version of Tingyun in Honkai Star Rail, with recent leaks also revealing new Tingyun’s release window. However, the most we have learned about her kit is that she will be a Support character from the Nihility path with the Fire damage type. Thankfully, new leaks have revealed more information about the new 5-star Tingyun’s kit and she appears to be the next best support unit in the game.
Tingyun 5-Star New-Form Kit Leaked in Honkai Star Rail
Leaks via Seele Leaks posted on Reddit, reveal that Tingyun is not going to be a dedicated Support for only Break teams, as assumed previously. Instead, she is set to have an all purpose Support kit, similar to Ruan Mei, and will work with most teams. Here are the leaked details for her kit:
- Skill: “Creates an aura, designating a single-target ally and proportionally boosts the team’s stats based on that character, similar to Hunt March 7th”. This suggests that Tingyun’s skill will have multiple effects on the entire team, based on the path or element of the ally it is used on.
- Ultimate: “Attacks all enemies and applies a debuff, which is not guaranteed to hit, and can be triggered multiple times”. As a Nihility character, we expected Tingyun’s new kit to have debuff applying abilities. The debuff applied will likely increase the Break damage taken by the enemy if I have to guess.
- Talent: “Includes several functions, such as increasing damage, advancing actions, and energy charging”. This sounds extremely broken, but also goes along with Tingyun’s 4-star Ultimate, which increased the damage and recharged energy for one ally. However, adding action-forwarding abilities on top can make her an extremely strong and useful support.
Although this is still an early leak for the kit of Tingyun’s new form in Honkai Star Rail, we can expect her to be one of the strongest Support units in the game after release. Tingyun’s 4-star unit is already considered an S-tier support, so I am sure her 5-star version cannot be the worst one out of the two. Still, we have to wait and see how the new form of Tingyun compares with Ruan Mei, Robin, and Sparkle, and whether it will bring Nihility characters back in conversation for best support.
