New movies and shows to stream this weekend: Cobra Kai, Lady in the lake, Those who are about to die + More
Ralph Macchio, William Zabka and their children, who have endured the generational trauma of the 1984 All Valley Tournament, return for Season 6, Part I of Cobra Kai on Netflix this week. On Apple TV+, Natalie Portman, Moses Ingram and Mikey Madison star. Lady in the lake (no relation to Philip Marlowe’s 1947 noir mystery.) And on Peacock, you can watch the full season of the swords-and-sandals drama. Those who are about to diewhich came out yesterday.
New on Netflix on July 18: Cobra Kai
It’s almost the beginning of the end for Southern California’s biggest karate rivalry! The sixth and final season of Cobra Kai hits Netflix this week, but don’t get too excited, because this season consists of three parts, and the third won’t arrive until 2025. And how about this fun fact: the first three seasons of Cobra Kai are coming to Netflix in 2025. Karate kid The films starring Ralph Macchio were released over a five-year span. By the time Cobra Kai comes to an end, it will have lasted seven years.

New on Apple TV+ on July 19: Lady in the lake
The first two episodes of Apple TV+ Lady in the lakestarring Natalie Portman as a housewife turned investigative journalist, premieres this week. The series, about a white woman in Baltimore in 1966 who becomes obsessed with solving a pair of murders, including that of a black woman, played by Moses Ingram, will subsequently air one episode a week on Fridays through August.
New on Peacock on July 18: Those who are about to die
Anthony Hopkins stars in the Roman drama Gladiator Those who are about to die on Peacock. The ten episodes of the series that focuses on Rome’s bloody deathmatches inside the gladiator arena arrived on July 18. Iwan Rheon, best known as creepy dog-father Ramsay Bolton in game of Thronesand Jojo Macari co-star in the series directed by Roland Emmerich.
