Geno Smith May Not Be the Best Quarterback in the NFL – That Title still belongs to Patrick Mahomes and he’ll stick with it until someone proves otherwise. However, Smith has played at a very high level over the past two seasons since becoming the Seattle Seahawks’ starter, and he’s about as good as anyone at some of the most important elements of the modern game.
On the one hand, Smith is the most accurate quarterback in the league right now. He is also one of the most decisive and aggressive players. However, he is still underrated, as today’s quarterback rankings prove. Smith may be on the verge of taking his game to the next level. The brief glimpse we got of him leading Ryan Grubb’s offense Saturday night was a tantalizing preview ahead of the regular season.
We can’t wait to see what Smith does once Grubb reveals his full game plan for the competition. By next month, any ranking that doesn’t place Smith in the top 10 will look downright ridiculous.
