The Las Vegas Raiders fell to 1-2 on the season after an embarrassing 36-22 loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 3. While Las Vegas’ defense had a poor outing, failing to contain Andy Dalton and Carolina’s passing attack, the story of the afternoon was the poor performance of the Raiders’ offense.
Luke Getsy’s unit managed just 15 points and 258 yards of total offense, including a scoreless second and third quarter. After an impressive performance in Week 2, quarterback Gardner Minshew came crashing down to earth by throwing for 214 yards, a touchdown and an atrocious interception in the fourth quarter.
Las Vegas was completely outplayed and outplayed by the coach from the start, and the offense was so lifeless that superstar receiver Davante Adams couldn’t believe it on the sideline.
After a seven-point first half by the Raiders, in which the offense failed to sustain its attacks and run a competent operation, Adams was seen sitting on the bench shaking his head as his team headed to the locker room.

Adams, who finished the game with four receptions for 40 yards, was embroiled in much trade speculation over the summer as many believed the future Hall of Famer was unhappy in Las Vegas due to back-to-back losing seasons and a clip from the Netflix series “Receiver” that showed Adams’ clear frustration with the quarterback situation with Jimmy Garoppolo at the helm in 2023.
While this is all speculation, it’s clear that Adams is getting tired of the Raiders’ losing ways. The team isn’t capable of competing for a Super Bowl, and if the losses continue, Adams could be traded by the Nov. 5 trade deadline.
