Like the rest of us, real estate agent Jordan March is looking forward to a second season of Owning Manhattan. While speaking to DECIDER, March revealed that she would love to show viewers her work with her celebrity clients if she can get them to share their stories.
Owning Manhattan became an overnight success when it debuted in Netflix Coming out in June, the series follows Ryan Serhant’s team of agents as they deal with high-stakes real estate transactions and their own personal drama.
Despite the rave reviews the series has received, Netflix has been holding off on announcing a new season. But when the time comes (and we hope it does), March, who describes himself as the “king of downtown,” knows exactly what he’d like to film for the series.
“We’ve closed a couple of deals for an initial $13 million to $14 million in Tribeca. We’re looking at some really cool properties right now,” he said, noting that he’s also working with some “famous buyers and sellers” he’d like to feature in the series. “Hopefully, we’ll be able to tell their stories as much as everyone else’s.”
While March didn’t name exactly which celebrities he’s currently working with, he did tell us he’s sent the listing for the $250 million penthouse at Central Park Tower (which SERHANT’s agents failed to sell in season one) to celebrities like Beyoncé and Jay-Z.
“That’s been one of the coolest projects, connecting with billionaires around the world,” March said. “You name it. We’ve been [sending] I sent it to Jay-Z and Beyoncé and I sent it to Mr. Wonderful. [Kevin O’Leary] and send it here and there.”
This isn’t the first time the firm has had celebrity clients. In the first season, we learned that rapper Bad Bunny was the mysterious tenant of Jardim’s penthouse, for which he offered to pay a whopping $150,000 a month instead of buying the space for $20 million.
Also, agent Jess Taylor secured a $21 million settlement with A-list clients, who submitted an offer through their attorney without even seeing the place first. However, a strict confidentiality agreement prevented their identities from being revealed. All we know is that they were definitely No Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, according to Serhant.
Let’s hope Netflix gives the green light to a second season of Owning Manhattan — And that March customers will agree to appear on the show!
