The stars of UFC Fight Night: Yan vs. Figueiredo took to the scale ahead of fight night in Macau, with all 26 fighters successfully making weight for their respective matchups.

The event, which takes place at the Galaxy Arena on Saturday night local time, will see two of the top bantamweight contenders in the world go head to head, while two talented strawweight contenders will face off in the co-main event. The event will also feature the flyweight, bantamweight and women’s strawweight finals of the Road to UFC tournament.

Former UFC champions on weight for UFC Macau main event

The 13-fight card will take place at the Galaxy Arena, with the event set to be headlined by a pivotal clash at the sharp end of the UFC bantamweight division.

Former bantamweight champion Petr Yan will take on former flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo in a bout that could propel the winner into championship contention at 135 pounds, and both men looked in fine shape as they took to the scale at the official weigh-ins.

Yan arrived on the scale at 135.5 pounds, half a pound inside the non-title limit, while Figueiredo hit championship weight, as he tipped the scale at 135 pounds for the explosive bantamweight headliner.

Yan Xiaonan and Tabatha Ricci, UFC Macau weigh-ins

The co-main event will see a bout between two of the leading contenders in the women’s strawweight division, as China’s own Yan Xiaonan takes on rising contender from Brazil, Tabatha Ricci.

Yan stepped on the scale and made the non-title strawweight limit of 116 pounds, while Ricci, known as “Baby Shark”, came in half a pound lighter, at 115.5 pounds.

The main card also sees a bout between two fringe contenders looking to surge into the upper echelon of the light heavyweight division.

Former title challenger Volkan Oezdemir has his sights set on another shot at glory, and he tipped the scale at 206 pounds, while his opponent, New Zealand’s impressive striker Carlos Ulberg, weighed in at 205.5 pounds as he looks to score the biggest victory of his career.

Road to UFC contenders make weight

The fight card also features the finals of the Road to UFC tournament, where the best unsigned fighters from Asia have been facing off in a bid to earn a shot on the world stage with the UFC.

Three finals are scheduled for the preliminary card on Saturday, with all six fighters involved successfully making weight for their bouts at bantamweight, flyweight and women’s strawweight.

Spectacular prospect on weight for UFC debut

The event will also see the UFC debut of English flyweight super-prospect Lone’er Kavanagh. 

The former Cage Warriors star made a huge impression on Dana White’s Contender Series with a stunning first-round knockout earning him a UFC contract. Now he’s set to make his Octagon debut against Peru’s Jose Ochoa in a battle between undefeated debutants. Kavanagh tipped the scale on the flyweight limit of 126 pounds, while Ochoa came in half a pound lighter, at 125.5.
