The New York Knicks are still looking to fill out their roster this offseason.
According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHypeOne potential target could be veteran forward Davis Bertans.
Scotto reports that the Knicks are among the teams “interested” in Bertans, the powerful free agent.

The Knicks still have the taxpayers’ mid-level exemption, which is worth about $5.2 million. It’s unclear if Bertans will keep the entire MLE. He just finished a five-year, $80 million contract.
As Scotto points out, Bertans has a career 39.6% 3-point shooting percentage. Last season, Bertans averaged 6.7 points on 39.3% field goal shooting, 38% 3-point shooting and 1.4 rebounds per game.
Bertans has bounced around the NBA since signing that big contract, playing for the Washington Wizards, Dallas Mavericks, Oklahoma City Thunder and Charlotte Hornets.
Obviously, Bertans has multiple concerns. He doesn’t score from the three-point line, he’s a well below average rebounder for his size (1.88 m) and he’s not a good defender.
That said, if Bertans were the Knicks’ 10th or 11th man, his shooting could be a useful tool in spot situations.
