Stephen Curry was missing one achievement in his basketball career: an Olympic gold medal.
He made sure to leave the 2024 Paris Olympics with one around his neck.
It was Curry’s first time playing for Team USA, which came as a big surprise to many fans. The Warriors guard prioritized rest over participating in the 2016 and 2021 Summer Games.
Curry, 36, was a key catalyst for Team USA, especially in the tournament’s semifinals and finals. He made big plays, including one that nearly set a new Olympic scoring record for the United States.

When the lights shined brighter, Curry delivered.
France kept pace with the United States throughout the gold medal game, but Curry’s fourth-quarter performance put France to sleep.

The 36-year-old made four 3-pointers in the final three minutes, including three in a row with less than two minutes remaining.
Each three-pointer looked more and more ridiculous until Curry made the dagger with about 34 seconds left.

Curry made eight three-pointers in the game and led the U.S. team in scoring with 24 points. Only Frenchman Victor Wembanyama scored more (26).

How many points did Stephen Curry score today?
Curry scored 24 points for Team USA in the gold medal game against France. He was once again the team’s leading scorer, this time behind Wembanyama (26) as the game’s leading scorer.
Curry scored all of his points on 3-pointers, going 8-for-12 from behind the line. He didn’t make a single 2-point field goal. He scored 12 points in the fourth quarter to help Team USA win its fifth consecutive gold medal and Curry’s first.
Curry averaged 30 points and made 17 three-pointers over the past two games.
