Darryn Peterson wants to be a two-way star like Kobe Bryant

Nowadays, people look at Kobe’s legacy and see the excellent offensive game. He was one of the most talented scorers in NBA history, as he was always relentless with his shotmaking throughout the court.

However, he was also a defensive beast, but people don’t talk about that often. Bryant is tied for the most NBA All-Defensive First Team selections at nine alongside the likes of Kevin Garnett, Michael Jordan, and Gary Payton.

Peterson grew up idolizing Bryant, so he wants to have a similar career to that of Bryant. Those are some massive expectations, but it seems Peterson is fine with the pressure he has put himself under with how he plans to emulate Bryant.

“I would like to say that I can be a lockdown defender. Of course, I haven’t played against the best in the world yet, but I’m willing to take this challenge… I’m a Kobe guy, so he played both sides of the ball. That’s my idol, so I’m trying to lock down on defense,” Peterson said in his first press conference with the Jazz.

Peterson acknowledges that he is not the most athletic player in this class, but he vows to make an effort on defense. That is huge for any young player because some can act like they are too cool for school when playing on the defensive side. 

With Peterson fully committed to being a star with the Jazz on both ends of the floor, they have a bright future. He has teammates like Keyonte George and Lauri Markkanen, so he is in a good spot.

This is the cost of landing a prospect such as Jaylen Waddle. However, with strong preparation and some good fortune, the Broncos can still land a solid prospect with their first pick. 

According to general manager George Paton, the Broncos have six players that they think could be there at No. 62 and one of those players could be the pick. The question is, who could those players be?

The Broncos have immediate needs at inside linebacker, tight end, running back and defensive line. However, the team may not have a single pressing need at the moment, which could lead to Paton and Sean Payton taking the best player on their board, an approach they lean toward more often than not. 

With that in mind, we’ll take a look at six players who would make sense for the Broncos and could still be there at No. 62. Are these the same six players Paton is talking about?

Top 6 prospects for Broncos in second round of 2026 NFL Draft

Eli Stowers, TE, Vanderbilt

Broncos fans should be familiar with this name, as he has been mentioned in connection with the team quite a bit recently. The Broncos need to add another weapon to the tight end room and Eli Stowers, who is more like a big wide receiver, offers versatility and athleticism that should translate live to the professional level. 

Caleb Banks, DL, Florida

This is a player that should be talked about a lot if he begins to fall down the board toward the Broncos, as he could potentially be a perfect replacement for John Franklin-Myers. The Broncos lost Franklin-Myers in free agency, but Banks has first-round talent. However, injuries could drop his stock and if that happens, the Broncos could land tremendous value in the second round. 

A foot injury forced Banks to miss most of the 2025 season. He then broke a bone in his foot at the scouting combine. This may knock him off the board of some teams, but his raw ability and athleticism, combined with his 6-foot-6 frame make him an exciting prospect. 

Max Klare, TE, Ohio State

There are multiple options at the tight end position and there are some who will say that tight end is the team’s biggest need heading into the draft. The Broncos still have Evan Engram, but after a down season for him last year, the team needs to consider adding another strong option. 

Max Klare doesn’t possess the incredible athleticism that Stowers does, but he is a more complete, traditional tight end. In Klare, the Broncos would get a player who can give something as a blocker as well as be a dynamic option in the passing game. 

Lee Hunter, DT, Texas Tech

The Broncos are going to need to add another option along the defensive line to replace Franklin-Myers unless they believe last year’s third-round pick, Sai’vion Jones, is ready to jump in as a regular contributor. 

Lee Hunter is a space-eating, disruptive defensive lineman who can set the table well for the playmakers around him to be more effective. 

Caleb Tiernan, OT, Northwestern

The Broncos may be looking to add another offensive lineman, even if that is not a major position of need. Garett Bolles is now 33 and Mike McGlinchey is 31, leading to the idea that the team should begin to look for a tackle to prepare for the future. 

Caleb Tiernan could fit that role. He played in 52 games at Northwestern and at 6-foot-7, is a towering prospect. He could also slide over and play guard in the NFL. 

Jadarian Price, RB, Notre Dame

Though many fans don’t seem to agree, the Broncos are happy with their running back spot. Adding another one in the second round may be too early for Paton and Payton, but if they do, Notre Dame’s Jadarian Price could add a dimension to the rushing attack that would put the team over the top.

Price is a smooth runner with tremendous vision. He averaged six yards per carry in his college career while finding the end zone 21 times.

Chappelle played big factor in helping Garland, Clippers chemistry

Garland might be the biggest fan of the comedian. After getting drafted, his first splurge was to go watch Chappelle and then meet him. He will never forget that moment as a 19-year-old entering the Cavaliers system and, effectively, the NBA. Lue, who he did not know would become his coach, also shared the love for Chappelle and they started to bond over him. 

The Clippers guard outlined how that night at the draft went and how it has helped him soften up to his head coach more, via Jared Weiss of The Athletic.

“Lue actually just sent me the picture he took with Chappelle a couple of days ago. We just hit it off from there. It’s a new chapter of my life Rich (Paul) talked about it even last summer, before it happened, it’s probably going to be our last year there. So, I was ready for it. I knew it was going to come sooner or later. So, when it happened, I was like, ‘Let’s just do it. Let’s rock out’,” Garland said.

Since then, the Clippers have found a steady hand to run their offense and facilitate fastbreaks. Garland is also having a great time balling out beside Coach Lue and Leonard. He has played 13 games for them and scored 21.3 points on average while knocking down a career-high 51% of his field goal attempts. More than that, he also dishes out a whopping seven assists per night to keep the offense running.

“It’s like a new breath of life, like a revamp. Being around the guys makes it a lot easier because they’re so welcoming. Everybody’s super silly. Everybody’s talkative. My first day there, they were holding their arms out, for real, like, ‘Welcome.’ A lot of big brothers on this team,” Garland added.

Those bits of taking the NBA not too seriously have helped the Clippers quite a bit. They have won five-straight games to notch the eighth seed in the Western Conference. With just eight games to go, it looks like the hilarity of Chappelle has brought about a very positive team chemistry within the Clippers system. Garland, Leonard, and Lue still have a mathematically probable shot of going as high as the fifth seed. Will they be able to do it?

The offensive powerhouse was a tremendous inside scorer and post-up artist during his days with the Minnesota Timberwolves. During the era in which he overlapped with James in Cleveland, Love took nearly 44 percent of his shots from 3-point land to better fit with his superstar player. By contrast, that number was closer to 23 percent in Minnesota.”

James is obviously his own player, but if he follows the blueprint of former teammates like Chris Bosh and Kevin Love, the Lakers could be very successful in the playoffs. James has made it clear that he understands his role now.

Los Angeles is starting to look dangerous heading into the postseason, and if James can channel elements of Bosh or Love, the Lakers could become a nightmare matchup. This is exactly what the team needs—and if James fully embraces it, there should be no hesitation moving forward.

It was hard to have a better season. But, going forward, the Seahawks have some tough decisions. One of those revolves around Smith-Njigba’s contract extension. And they recently got a demand for the superstar WR.

During an appearance on WFAA with Jonah Javad, Smith-Njigba revealed that he wants to break the record for the largest contract for a WR in NFL history. That’s held by Ja’Marr Chase, and is a mark of $40.25 million per-year. This won’t be an easy deal to sign.

“I believe I deserve to be the highest paid in my position,” Smith-Njigba said. “I would play this game for free, I love this game so much… but you don’t have to. And I’m learning to be a good businessman, and we need that check at the end of the day.”

Smith-Njigba is under contract for next season, and he has a fifth-year option which the Seahawks would almost certainly pick up this offseason.

This offseason is the first time he’s extension-eligible, but he’s in no rush to get it done. The Seahawks superstar WR is set up to land a massive deal when he signs it, which could be as soon as this offseason.

If JSN wants to be the highest-paid wide receiver, he could do so either by signing a high APY deal or a high overall value contract.

Either way, Smith-Njigba’s target will be Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals. He’s signed a massive $161 million, four-year contract. He’s getting $40,250,000 per season, which is a lofty goal for JSN to target.

But, after being named the NFL Offensive Player of the Year and recording 1,793 receiving yards, 10 touchdowns, and 119 receptions on 163 targets this season, it’s not a surprise he’s looking for such a huge deal.

This 2025 season for Smith-Njigba is the 8th best in NFL history by receiving yards, better than any season from Chase by nearly 90 yards (Chase had 1,708 yards in 2024).

The Seahawks know JSN will demand a massive new contract, and they have the money to make it work. But, it doesn’t change the fact that this $40.25 million wish from Smith-Njigba is a massive asking price for the 23-year-old first-round WR.

According to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, the Lakers are collaborating with Los Angeles’ resident dynasty, the Los Angeles Dodgers, to help them with Lakers’ basketball moves. Lakers GM Rob Pelinka revealed in a press conference before their game with the Golden State Warriors that he has been working with Dodgers GM Andrew Friedman to take notes on how the Dodgers came to be where they are. 

“[It’s] been great to have sort of outside allies and advocates looking at the Dodgers and the success they’ve had and what they’ve built over there, and being able to tap into a person like Andrew Friedman for best practices…He’s so incredibly smart and has done such an amazing job bringing championships to the Dodgers,” Pelinka said. “So just to have another head of another team that you can, whether it’s a roster move, whether it’s a staff move, just someone that you can talk to has been an incredible resource,” (via McMenamin).

To speak to the Dodgers’ legitimacy, they are THE team to beat in the MLB currently. Since 2024 when they began their dynasty, they’ve won the past two World Series, have gone 191-133 in the regular season, and landed the top free agents of the offseason, most notably Shohei Ohtani in the winter of 2023, and Kyle Tucker this offseason. 

McMenamin continued, revealing Dodgers owner Mark Walter, who now owns the majority stake in the Lakers, will work with former owner and current governor Jeanie Buss on ways he can start supporting the team. 

“Beyond his rapport with Friedman, Pelinka said that he, Walter and Lakers acting governor Jeanie Buss have discussed the ways in which Walter can further support the team, starting this summer. Buss will continue to be acting governor for at least four more seasons after 2025-26, according to the Lakers,” McMenamin wrote.

Hopefully, Friedman and Walter can help Pelinka and Buss bring the Lakers the same amount of success he brought to the Dodgers, and at least get L.A. tied up with the Boston Celtics for total championships.

The Regular Show cosmetics, including the Mordecai skin, will release in the Fortnite Item Shop on January 30, 2026, at 7 PM ET. The collab was initially expected to release with the 39.30 update, but its release was seemingly postponed slightly.

Fortnite Regular Show Bundle Price and How to Get All Cosmetics

All cosmetics in the Fortnite Regular Show collab are a part of the Regular Show Bundle in the Fortnite Item Shop. To add the Regular Show bundle to your library, you can follow these steps:

• Go to the Fortnite Item Shop and look for the Regular Show section.
• You should find the section near the top since it’s a new release.
• Spend 3,000 V-Bucks to get the Regular Show bundle, or you can get each of the new skins separately.

The Regular Show cosmetics feature extremely faithful translations of Mordecai and Rigby from the animated show into the world of Fortnite. In addition to the Mordecai skin, the collab also features a Rigby Sidekick. The absence of a Rigby skin may be disappointing to a lot of fans. However, it seems like Epic Games decided against giving Rigby a mech suit, unlike the South Park skins, opting to make him a Sidekick instead.

If you choose to get the Regular Show bundle, you will receive the following items:

Glenn’s defense hasn’t forced an interception through 15 games, making NFL history. But, it’s not the only issue, as the offense has been significantly disappointing with Justin Fields being a complete bust, and the receiver room being one of the worst in the NFL.

Overall, it’s not gone well for Glenn in year one. But Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic compared Glenn to Dan Campbell and Kyle Shanahan in their initial seasons as head coaches. There’s some hope for Glenn if he can follow those two’s paths in the NFL.

How Jets’ Aaron Glenn can follow Dan Campbell, Kyle Shanahan NFL HC paths

Glenn started out his NFL coaching career 0-7 and has lost by 20 or more points four times this season. Campbell started 0-10-1 with the Detroit Lions, finishing 3-13-1, while losing four games by 20 or more points.

Shanahan, with the San Francisco 49ers, went 0-9 to begin his 49ers tenure. He finished 6-10 and lost three games by 20 or more points.

While Glenn won’t be able to match Shanahan in terms of record, an upset win could have the Jets and Glenn at a better record than Campbell was in his first season with the Lions.

But, for the Jets, losing out would be preferable. Securing as high a draft pick as possible is key for the Jets, as New York needs to find a way to draft Fernando Mendoza or the top QB in the 2026 NFL Draft in an ideal world.

Even if Glenn loses out, the Jets won’t be parting with the first-year head coach. He has another year with the Jets at least, and with a busy offseason on the horizon, he could emulate how Shanahan and Campbell turned their tenures around.

Of course, the tenure of Shanahan in San Francisco is the ideal, but it’s far from a guarantee. Glenn and Darren Mougey need to have a masterful offseason, as the current roster isn’t good enough to be a playoff contender, let alone a Super Bowl contender like the 49ers became under Shanahan.

But the career paths of Shanahan and Campbell are proof that Glenn can still turn his Jets’ tenure around despite this very rough rookie season.

The goby’s bright yellow fin stripes immediately reminded researchers of the series’ glowing power-up, pushing them to give it one of the most anime-inspired scientific names we’ve ever seen.

The species was detailed in Ichthyological Research after a single specimen was collected near Ishigaki-jima Island in Okinawa at around 210 meters deep. It’s a small fish, just 77 millimeters long, but its coloring is what makes it stand out.

It sports vivid yellow stripes along its second dorsal, anal, and caudal fins, faint yellow spots on its head, and a series of diamond-shaped blotches down its body. No other known Vanderhorstia species has this exact pattern, which makes it instantly recognizable.

Super Saiyan fish discovered in the ‘Twilight Zone’

Scientists say the “Twilight Zone” where it was found is still one of Japan’s least-explored marine regions. Even in low light, this goby shows unusually bold colors for a deep-water species, especially compared to its shallow-water relatives. The combination of depth, shape, and its unmistakable yellow markings convinced researchers it deserved the Super Saiyan name.

The team behind the discovery directly credits Dragon Ball as the inspiration, noting that the bright yellow fin pattern reminded them of the iconic transformation. It’s not often pop culture ends up in official species naming, but anime fans have run with it online.

From November 20 to November 29, 2025, you’ll need to purchase a movie ticket to Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair in participating theaters in the United States (releases December 4) to receive the Gogo Yubari Outfit in Fortnite. You’ll receive a unique code with your ticket purchase.

To claim the skin, visit the Fortnite redeem website, and enter the code printed on the ticket, starting November 30, 2025. Redemptions must be completed by 7 PM ET on December 31, 2025.
