The Tennessee Titans have officially wrapped up their 2024 preseason after defeating the New Orleans Saints Sunday 30-27.
The Titans gave their starters several runs in this game and things went well, especially in the passing game. Will Levis looked to be in good position and the offensive line kept him upright.
With the preseason over, the Titans will focus on trimming the roster to 53 players. The deadline for that is Tuesday, August 27 at 4 p.m. ET, but Tennessee could make moves in the days leading up to that.
In the meantime, here’s a look at the team’s biggest winners and losers from Week 3 of the preseason.
Tennessee Titans Winners and Losers
Winner: QB Will Levis
Levi’s preseason touchdown streak ended with three touchdowns, but the Titans still managed to get a field goal on his second and final series.
The Kentucky product was accurate, completing 7 of 8 passes for 118 yards and had three passes of 20-plus yards, including one to Calvin Ridley, one to Tyler Boyd and another to Nick Vannett on a screen. He appears ready for Week 1.
Loser: OLB Rashad Weaver
This is year four and Weaver still sucks in coverage. He’s also terrible at finishing when he wants to get his hands on the quarterback. Hopefully we’ll see a lot more of Jaylen Harrell than Weaver this year.
Winner: Starting Offensive Line
Even though the run blocking wasn’t great, the offensive line gave Levis plenty of time to throw the ball and he wasn’t tackled once. Plus, the screen game worked perfectly, with the Titans getting a few big gains off of it.
Loser: RB Hassan Haskins
Haskins didn’t play a single snap in the first half while his roster competitors, Julius Chestnut and Jabari Small, both played and outplayed him on offense. Haskins will clearly only be a part of this team if Tennessee places a premium on his special teams play.
Winner: DL T’Vondre Sweat
Sweat had three key plays on the opening drive, with two stops and one pressure. The pressure was all the more important because it came on third down. Some analysts didn’t think Sweat could be a three-down player.

Winner: TE David Martin-Robinson
Robinson has done nothing but play this preseason. He has four receptions for 45 yards, including a long of 21. DMR has also shined as a blocker. At this point, it would be surprising if he doesn’t make the initial 53-man roster.
Winner: TE Thomas Odukoya
Odukoya had just one reception for 10 yards on two targets, but his quick play to save a touchdown late in the first half was one of the best plays of the game. After a missed 58-yard field goal, the Saints nearly returned it for a score of over 100 yards, but Odukoya ran the length of the field to stop it.

Winner: P Ryan Stonehouse
Before Week 3 of the preseason, Titans head coach Brian Callahan made it clear he wanted Stonehouse to work after he hadn’t punted since his season-ending knee injury last December. It took nearly three full quarters, but Stonehouse finally got his chance and promptly punted the ball 53 yards. He had a second attempt that he threw inside the Saints 10-yard line.
Winner: RB Jabari Small
Small fumbled the ball but quickly recovered, carrying it 10 times for 64 yards, including a long gain of 20, and adding a reception for 10 yards. It was his best performance of the preseason, and it came at the right time. We’ll see if it’s enough to get him on the 53-man roster.
Winner: WR Bryce Oliver
Oliver threw two touchdowns Sunday, including the game-winning field goal. One of his touchdowns came from 34 yards out, and he finished with a team-best 52 receiving yards.

Unfortunately for Oliver, he picked the wrong year to join the Titans. If it were 2023, he likely would have been selected after a stellar offseason, but the Titans have a much tougher situation in 2024. He’ll end up on the practice squad if he passes the waiver test.
Winner: QB Malik Willis
After being completely manhandled early in the game by poor pass protection, Willis settled in and completed 3 of 4 passes for 51 yards and two touchdowns and added three carries for 29 yards. His highlight was a beautiful 34-yard pass to Oliver.

It remains to be seen whether Willis has done enough to force the Titans to keep a third quarterback, but there’s no doubt he’s made progress this offseason.
