In Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, there are a variety of gadgets that you can add to your loadout in addition to your weapons. The most important are the Lethal and Tactical Gear that you can use to disorient or even eliminate enemies. Here is a ranked list of the best Lethal and Tactical Gear in BO6 Beta.

Best Lethal Gear in Black Ops 6 Beta

As the name suggests, Lethal Equipment can be used against the enemy to damage them and even eliminate them in one hit if used properly.

1. Semtex / Sticky Grenade (unlocked at level 5)

The Semtex or Sticky Grenade, when thrown, sticks to the surface and then explodes after a short time. Enemies can be alerted by its beeping sound, but it doesn’t take long to explode, so they can still be damaged if they aren’t killed. If you cast the spell on an opponent and they are pinned by this deadly grenade, there is no way to save them.

2. Battle Axe (unlocked at level 24)

Instead of throwing knives, we can use throwing axes in Black Ops 6. Aim these deadly, recoverable axes at an enemy and throw them to get an instant kill if you land them anywhere on their body. As I mentioned, they are recoverable, meaning you can pick them up wherever they land. A battle axe can also bounce off surfaces, so you have a good chance of getting a lucky kill if it somehow lands on the enemy.

3. Frag (pre-unlocked)

No Call of Duty game would be complete without the good old frag grenade. These are timed fragmentation grenades that can roll across the surface and damage enemies within their blast radius. A frag grenade is also cookable, meaning you can hold it in your hands for a short time and throw it to surprise the enemy with an instant explosion. If you deploy it immediately, there’s a chance the enemy can throw it back at you. Try to throw it across the map to get some satisfying kills early on in the match.

4. Thermo Grenade (unlocked at level 9)

When thrown, the Thermo Grenade deploys a cloud of flammable gas that explodes after a short duration. It also leaves a fiery residue on the ground that can damage any enemies that walk through it. I’m not a fan of this gear as there are better ones out there, but feel free to try it out for yourself.

5. Blast Trap (unlocked at level 21)

Explosive traps are proximity-triggered explosive devices that detonate when an enemy comes within range of them. This doesn’t always work if the enemy spots the explosive trap and completely avoids it by circling around. They’ll be great for game modes like Hardpoint and Domination where you have to defend the captured objective.

Best Tactical Loadout in Black Ops 6 Beta

Tactical gear may seem inexpensive, but it can be very useful when used effectively in certain circumstances. It is often used by seasoned players to gain a competitive advantage over their opponents, either by disorienting them or preparing for combat after a skirmish.

1. Stimulating Shot (unlocked at level 12)

A Stim Shot instantly regenerates any lost health and refreshes your Tactical Sprint. With omnimovement being a fixture in Black Ops 6, Stim Shots are going to be meta. If you’re already low on health and enemies are closing in on you, use the Stim Shot to recover your health. Even if you don’t need the health regeneration, just use it to outpace your opponents by refreshing your Tactical Sprint.

2. Flashbang (unlocked at level 6)

Stun grenades are back and are just as useful as in previous games. Affected enemies are blinded and you can use this opportunity to take them out while they are disoriented. This is most effective when trying to clear rooms and capture points in modes like Hardpoint; however, the enemy may have a Trophy System field upgrade implanted that can destroy your stun grenade.

3. Proximity Alarm (unlocked at level 17)

Prox Alarm is a new tactical device that I enjoyed using during my playtime. Place these sticky alarms on a surface that you want to monitor. The device will start beeping and flashing when an enemy approaches its vicinity, alerting you to their presence. Spotted enemies will also appear on your teammates’ mini-maps, making Prox Alarm a great piece of equipment to have.

4. Concussion (Pre-Unlocked)

Similar to stun grenades, a concussion grenade disorients the enemy by slowing their movement and aiming instead of blinding them. I prefer stun grenades over stun grenades because the former completely blocks the enemy’s on-screen information. In some cases of using a concussion grenade, the opponent’s aim assist can lock on to you and you will end up dead even after a tactical advantage, so be careful and stay out of their line of sight.

5. Lure (unlocked at level 28)

The Sticky Decoy Grenade mimics enemy footsteps and gunfire. It is meant to confuse the enemy, but it never succeeds unless you are playing against beginner players. While Decoys have no tactical application, players use them to gain free XP. Each kill of your teammates near a Decoy thrown by you will earn you Assist Points that can help you quickly upgrade your weapons.
