The hit Prime Video series, based on Jenny Han’s beloved trilogy of young adult books, was renewed for a third season in August 2023, but during Amazon’s upfront presentation on May 14, Han and the cast took the stage to share that season 3 is not complete. It won’t arrive until… 2025!
With Season 1 premiering in June 2022 and Season 2 in August 2023, this will mark fans’ first summer without Belly, Conrad, Jere, and a return trip to Cousins in three years. To make up for the delay, which comes after the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, Han announced that Season 3 “will be a huge season with 11 episodes.”
“We have all been working very hard to make this an epic season of Summer,“, he assured fans at the event, and also shared that he will direct his first television episode in the next season.
Lola Tung, who plays Belly, chimed in and said, “I can’t wait for everyone to see her journey this season.” And the Belly boys also shared their thoughts on season 3, with Christopher Briney confirming: “It’s good to be back…” and Gavin Casalegno adding: “I feel like we’re all really excited to see what’s next for all of us “. especially for Jeremiah and Belly’s final moments in season 2.”
Although fans are excited that the juicy show Brother Love Triangle will live to see another season, they are not happy about the delay, especially since other series like Bear managed to make their new seasons in time to premiere in the time slots planned for 2024. The question we are all asking ourselves now is: “HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO SURVIVE THIS SUMMER WITHOUT THE SUMMER MADE ME PRETTY?!”

I can’t believe we have to wait over a year again for The Summer I Turned Pretty, but on the plus side we can include songs from TTPD.

The one-year delay isn’t ideal, but while you wait until summer 2025, you have plenty of time to get back to reading. The summer I became pretty books, rewatch the first two seasons, and learn all the lyrics to any Taylor Swift album that’s released before the premiere.
